Editorial Standards

When something is published on the Full Fleet Solutions blog, we're putting our name behind it. Here is what that means.

Everything factual has a source

Every statistic, regulation, threshold and date in a post comes from a source we can point to, and those sources are listed at the end of the post. We rely first on primary sources, such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, OSHA, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, NIOSH, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the National Safety Council and peer-reviewed research. After those, we use established trade publications. If we can't source a claim, we don't publish it.

Regulations are stated precisely

Where a post discusses a rule, we cite the rule itself and say when it depends on vehicle weight, state or type of operation. Many delivery vehicles fall below the weight at which many federal rules apply, and we won't overstate what the law requires. Our posts are general information, not legal or medical advice.

Nothing is made up

We don't invent people, quotes, stories, case studies or survey results. When a post uses an example to illustrate a point, it's written as a hypothetical.

Other people's ideas get credit

Some of the best thinking in this industry comes from other operators, safety professionals, researchers and leaders, and we're glad to feature it. When we do, we name and link the person or organization, keep their ideas recognizably theirs, and quote only briefly. Contributed stories are credited on the post.

How posts are made

We use AI research and drafting tools to help find sources and prepare drafts. Every cited link is checked automatically, and every post is reviewed and approved by a person at Full Fleet Solutions before it's published. Nothing on this blog is published without that approval.

Independence

We don't publish paid or sponsored posts. If that ever changes, those posts will be clearly labeled. Full Fleet Solutions is an independent company and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FedEx or any other carrier, and nothing we publish should be read as speaking for them.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction on the post. To report an error, email davidabeatty99@gmail.com with the post and what needs correcting.
